ADDO ( African Digital Democracy Observatory)
ADDO is a pioneering initiative by Code for Africa (CfA) dedicated to connecting organizations working tirelessly on disinformation and digital democracy issues. We provide vital support through research grants, technical assistance, residential fellowships, and access to cutting-edge machine-learning and analytical tools. Additionally, we foster transnational partnerships that fuel collaborative investigations.
Crafting a Distinctive Art Style and Brand Identity
My role involved the creation of a unique art style and brand identity that truly embodies ADDO.
The logo, a visual masterpiece, meticulously delves into the core concepts of data and observation, aligning seamlessly with ADDO's purpose and vision
Color Palette - Red and Blue: The choice of red and blue as the primary colors in the art style is significant for several reasons:
- Symbolism: Red and blue are often associated with contrasting concepts, such as urgency and stability, or action and trust. In the context of ADDO, red may symbolize the urgency and critical nature of addressing disinformation, while blue represents the stability and trustworthiness that ADDO aims to instill in its work.
- Visibility: Red and blue are bold, high-contrast colors that catch the viewer's attention. This choice ensures that ADDO's visual identity stands out and communicates its important mission effectively.
- Harmony: The combination of red and blue creates a visually appealing and balanced color scheme, which can evoke a sense of harmony and cohesion. This aligns with ADDO's goal of fostering collaboration and partnerships among various organizations.
