Code for Africa
Code for Africa creates projects and trainings to enable data journalism and make fact-checking as well as forensic data analysis tools accessible to journalists and citizens.
Below are works and concepts i did during my stay at Code for Africa.
Code for Africa organized a virtual event of the WanaData International Women's Day (#IWD2023). The event aligned with 2023 International Women's Day (IWD) theme, 'Embracing Equity.' To build on this broad theme, we dived deeper by focusing on our WanaData theme, 'Embracing equity in data and science for women in Africa'. WanaData is a Pan-African network of female journalists, data scientists and techies working on changing the digital media landscape by producing and promoting data-driven news.
Drones For JusticeCode for Africa (CfA) hosted Johhny Miller, a photographer, activist, and founder of Unequal Scenes and africanDRONE.africanDRONE produces content for major international news organizations, develops new and socially aware storytelling methodologies, as well as drone mapping.
